Praise the Lord for a week of good weather for the youth camp!
Albert and Elaine had a busy week while the youth camp was happening. They were unpacking and getting things hooked up at their Baozhong home. They worked hard and have even been able to host some of the second summer short term team this week. We think they are incredible to have gotten so much done so quickly. We also praise God for His ongoing help for their whole family as they transition to Baozhong.
The Elementary Children’s Summer Camp started today. We had 38 students attend on the first day. Some who were absent said they will come starting tomorrow. Please pray for the short term team from Southgate Alliance Church (Calgary) who is ministering this week. One of the exciting activities for the children is learning to play badminton. However, there is heavy rain forecast for every day this week. The school does not have a gymnasium so the sports activities are done outside. I told the school staff that we are praying and asking God to make the mornings dry even if there is rain at other times of the day. God answered that prayer and stopped the rain on Monday morning. We are looking forward to attending our son Ethan’s wedding on July 31. Please pray for the final arrangements that are being made and for safe travel for all who will travel long distances to attend the ceremony.
